Mr. Ascot Chang leaves Feng Hua at age 14 to apprentice under a master shirtmaker in Shanghai.


Mr. Ascot Chang departs Shanghai for Hong Kong where he starts taking orders for custom made shirts. Knocking on door after door, he visits the offices of discerning Shanghainese businessmen who are not able to find high quality shirts in Hong Kong.


Responding to rising demand from local customers and tourists, Mr. Ascot Chang opens his first 600 sq. ft store at 34 Kimberley Road.


The first Ascot Chang branch opens at The Peninsula Hotel.


As a result of the 1967 political riots and subsequent plunge of tourism, Ascot Chang travels to The United States for the company’s first trunk show trip abroad. The trip lasted 3 months and the itinerary included stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Seattle, Denver, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Houston, St. Louis, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Atlanta and Miami.


Ascot Chang’s first international store opens in New York on 57th street, offering bespoke suit services for the first time.


Ascot Chang continues to expand domestically and internationally with new locations in Beverly Hills, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Manila and Hong Kong.


Ascot Chang’s 5,000 sq. ft. New York flagship store opens at 110 Central Park South.


Ascot Chang celebrates its 60th Anniversary with an exhibition at the ifc Mall.
